In 2022 we had barely moved into our wonderful new farm when 12 Dorper ewe lambs were brought to the farm. These original 12 ladies taught us everything we know today about sheep. While we had large livestock experience, sheep were a new experience for us.
As we have grown our flock, we have added several different wool breeds to explore which ones do well on the farm. These include Romanovs, Finn Sheep, Canadian Arcotts, and East Friesians.
Our flock is pasture raised as long as possible during the year, rotationally grazed on our largest pastures where they have plenty to eat and the lambs have lots of room to run and play. We are proud how solid and well developed our lambs are when they are weaned and beyond.
